Chargers Shine with Four Podium Finishers at OEC Meet
Women's swim takes home 12 medals.
COSTA MESA, CA - The Cypress College women's swim team delivered a strong performance at the OEC Meet, highlighted by four Chargers earning podium finishes and multiple standout individual efforts. Leading the way was Chantee Nguyen, who captured gold in both the 100 IM and 200 freestyle, while also adding silver medals in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Nguyen's dominant showing accounted for more than 535 individual points, pacing Cypress throughout the meet.
Mia Stockwell also turned in an impressive performance, securing gold in the 200 backstroke and silver in the 100 backstroke. Her time of 2:23.83 in the 200 back marked a personal best, underscoring her continued progress in the pool. Jasmine Liu contributed to the Chargers' success as well, earning a silver medal with a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke.
UP NEXT: The Charger will be participating in the Pasadena Invite at East Los Angeles College on Friday, April 3rd.
