Cypress Chargers Take The Road for Second Round of 3C2A Regionals
After defeating Palomar, the Chargers take on the Oxnard Condors.

CYPRESS, CA - The No. 15 Cypress Chargers advanced to the second round of the 3C2A Regionals after a 1-0 victory over Palomar. Sophomore Alex Gomez Jr. delivered the decisive goal in the 42nd minute, while goalkeeper Demian Baldovinos recorded four saves to secure the shutout.
Cypress entered the postseason on a five-game winning streak, three of which were shutout wins, and saw seven players earn All-OEC honors for their standout performances during the regular season.
The Chargers now turn their attention to the No. 2 Oxnard Condors (12-2-4, 7-0-3 WSC), who will be making their postseason debut. This will mark the first meeting between the two teams this season.
The winner will advance to the third round of the playoffs and take on the victor of the San Bernardino Valley vs. Mt. SAC matchup on Tuesday, November 25.
