Cypress Charger Alum Porter Rosenlof Leads Team to First Ever NCAA Championship Appearance
Men's water polo alum leads CUI to program's first ever conference title
CYPRESS, CA - Cypress Charger Alum Porter Rosenlof is making history at Concordia University Irvine, helping lead the team to the program's first ever conference title and first trip to the NCAA Championships.
With his two years spent with the Chargers, Rosenlof totaled an impressive 154 goals and 61 assists. In the 2024-2025 season, Rosenlof led his team in goals, assists, and steals. He was also ranked no. 3 in the OEC in goals (85) and no. 5 in the OEC for assists (42).
Rosenlof's time at Concordia University Irvine has been well spent with a total of 20 goals and 26 assists in his first season with the Golden Eagles.. His defensive abilities earned him a spot on the WWPA All-Defensive team, highlighting his work on both ends of the pool.
The Golden Eagles currently hold an overall record of 21–12 and a conference mark of 5–1, riding a four-game winning streak into postseason play. Rosenlof and Concordia will face No. 1 ranked USC in the NCAA Quarterfinals on December 5 at 12:00 PM at the Avery Aquatic Center.
