Chargers Take 5th Place in the OEC Meet
,Men's swim brings home 13 medals for Cypress.
COSTA MESA, CA - The Cypress College men's swim and dive team delivered an impressive performance at the OEC Meet, with seven Chargers earning podium finishes across swimming and diving events. A group of standout performers led the way, including Isaiah Bridgewaters, Giovanni Demuro, Sean Eoin Tannehill, Aidan Sarreal, and Noah Brummitt Rodriguez, each contributing to the team's success.
Sean Eoin Tannehill highlighted the meet with a gold medal performance in the 400 IM, touching the wall in a time of 4:18.99. Giovanni Demuro added to the Chargers' medal count with a pair of silver finishes, placing second in both the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
In the diving well, Cypress showcased depth as Isaiah Bridgewaters earned second place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter finals. Close behind him was teammate Aidan Sarreal, who secured third place in both events, giving the Chargers multiple podium finishes in diving.
UP NEXT: The Chargers head over to East Los Angeles College to compete in the Pasadena Invite on Friday, April 3rd.
