Cypress - Freshman midfielder Layla Silva has been named Charger of the Week (Oct. 13-19), becoming the second women's soccer honoree this season.
Cypress - Freshman midfielder Layla Silva has been named Charger of the Week (Oct. 13-19), becoming the second women's soccer honoree this season.
Silva has been the rock in the middle for the Chargers this season and helped guide the team to a victory over rival Fullerton. She was pivotal in setting up the only goal of the game, sending a diagonal ball into the box, which Jenny Marin chest trapped and volleyed into the net.
