GLENDALE, CA- #12 Cypress Chargers women's basketball (18-10) will face #5 Glendale College (19-5) in round 2 of the CCCAA State playoffs. The Chargers and Vaqueros will tip off at 7pm on Thursday, March 2nd.
Cypress will be making their 11th straight playoff appearance dating back to the 2008-2009 season. The Chargers and Vaqueros have faced off thirteen times since 1986 with Cypress winning nine of the matchups. The most recent game was in 2015 where the Chargers won in commanding fashion 75-51.
Glendale has had a fantastic season going 10-2 in conference play while also finishing the season on a ten game win streak. The Vaqueros average 59.5 ppg while shooting 37% from the field and 29% from three-point range. The Chargers average 63.4 ppg while also shooting 37% from the field and 31.4% from three-point range. Cypress and Glendale stack up very evenly, but the Chargers have been strong on the road this season as they boast a 7-1 record. The Chargers have won nine of their last 11 games and will look to carry their momentum into Thursday night.
