The Orange Empire Conference has released the 2021 All-Conference teams for women's soccer. Cypress has eight selections; Jassmin Ortiz, Anahi Diaz, Siriana Gudino and Jade Bernardo being named to the first team and Alyssa Villalobos, Presli Dillon, Lucia Yanez and Fabiola Salazar named to the second team.
Cypress women's soccer (19-1-2) faced off against Saddleback College (19-2-2) in the CCCAA Regional Final on Saturday night. The Chargers punched their ticket to the State Semi-Finals with a 1-0 win over the Bobcats in a thrilling defensive battle. The win not only sends Cypress to the next round, but it marks the 100th win for Coach Erick Hurtarte since he took over as head coach in 2014.
The Cypress Chargers women's soccer team (6-0, 1-0 OEC) opened Conference play on Tuesday afternoon against Irvine Valley (1-7-1, 0-1 OEC) at Ray Haas Field. The #2 ranked Chargers stayed perfect on the season as they defeated the Lasers, 4-0.
The Cypress women's soccer team (5-0) is off to a historic start as they were ranked #2 in the nation by the NJCCA (National Junior College Athletic Association) in the first women's soccer rankings of the year. The Lady Chargers have been on a tear scoring six goals in each of their last three games.
