Bio
Tahja Matthews enters her first season as Recruiting Coordinator for the Cypress College Women's Basketball Program, bringing impactful coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. She offers a strong foundation in recruiting, player development, and program support, with passion for building relationships and helping student-athletes reach their potential.
Tahja began her coaching career as a freshman head coach before advancing to high school and collegiate assistant roles. She was part of a 2017 CIF Championship winning coaching staff, contributing to defensive preparation, player development, and overall team success. Her experience in competitive environments has shaped her high-energy approach, emphasis on discipline and defense, and commitment to excellence, and she is proud to be part of a winning program with a rich tradition of developing student-athletes on and off the court.
