David Marris Earns Charger of the Week (Apr. 15-21)

Cypress College men's golf standout, David Marris, earned his first career Charger of the Week Award on Wednesday. He is the first men's golfer to receive the award this season.

Marris leads the Orange Empire Conference for top individual honors with a 72.1 scoring average. Last week, he finished second at the Arroyo Trabuco golf course, shooting a 1-over par 73, finishing one stroke back of the medalist.

Marris and the men's golf team enter the conference championship alongside Orange Coast tied with 32 points this season. All six OEC teams will play in the conference championship with the top three teams advancing to the CCCAA South Regional Championship on May 6 at the Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills along with two individuals.
