Women's Beach Volleyball, Dahlia Gonzalez Earns Charger of the Week
CYPRESS, CA – Cypress College women's beach volleyball Dahlia Gonzalez has been named Charger of the Week after a strong and resilient performance in the No. 2 pair last week.
Gonzalez played a key role in the Chargers' success, finishing the week with a 3-1 record. She opened with a hard-fought three-set battle against Santa Monica, claiming the first set 21-19 before narrowly dropping the next two sets, 21-19 and 15-13.
She quickly bounced back with a decisive straight-set victory over Lassen College, regaining momentum heading into conference play. Gonzalez carried that momentum into Friday, where she delivered back-to-back dominant performances, sweeping both Fullerton and Santa Ana in two sets.
